Big Knick Energy Podcast Episode #24 - Season Preview with Grungy Gentleman's Jace Lipstein
TreDuse aka Coach (@theNYPostman on Twitter and @thenewyorkpostman on IG) is back!! Joe Yolk (@joeylandolfa) and Coach have a very special returning guest this week in the form of Jace Lipstein.
Jace is the creator of New York born men's design wear Grungy Gentleman (@grungygentleman on all socials.)
You can also buy his stuff at Grungygentleman.com.
Jace is an extremely passionate Knicks fan and just became a father. We talk about the first month of fatherhood, how he's already breeding his son to cheering for the blue and orange, and obviously all things Knicks from a season preview standpoint.
The boys start with what do they expect out of Mitchell Robinson and the Center position as a whole. Then they talk about just how awesome it is to have added New York's own Kemba Walker to the team as well as an actually playable Frenchman in Evan Fournier (sorry Frank Ntilikina). All of the new offensive weapons should open the floor for returning stars RJ Barrett and Julius Randle.
Derrick Rose got to live out every New Yorker's dream of getting engaged in the middle of MSG, and Coach Thibodeau's drive towards excellence doesn't stop even in the preseason.
They end with season predictions and who will be our biggest rival going forward... Trae Young.

Big Knick Energy Episode 22 - Holy Muscle Gains Batman (Julius Randle) and Robin (RJ Barrett) with Special Guest @Trippyogts Follow us on Twitter (@BigKnickEnergy), IG (@bigknickenergy__), and TikTok (@bigknickenergy). Like, share, and subscribe on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Pods, and Podbean. Joe Yolk (@joeylandolfa) and TreDuse (@TheNYPostman on Twitter and @thenewyorkpostman on IG) are back after a mini hiatus this week with very special guest Trippy. Trippy (real name LaVonte) is the host of the Knickn30 podcast. (Follow him on youtube and instagram @knickn_30 and @trippyog_ts). The 3 talk about the four dudes who have looked the most jacked and like they spent the most time in the gym between Randle, RJ, IQ, and Mitch during the offseason. It starts with Mitch having a make-or-break (hopefully not literally) year and how important it is for him to stay healthy for his own future contract as well as for the performance of this team. While talking about Mitch and his past performance, Joe once again leads the boys down an Elfrid Payton slandering tangent. Once they get back on track, they jump to IQ and the range between him potentially losing minutes this year in a crowded guard room which includes Rose, Kemba, McBride, and Burks versus him being the person that can open things up most for Randle this year. They also go back and forth about Kevin Knox putting work in the offseason and how Frank really wants Knox to be an unsung hero this year, while Trippy and Joe try to talk him off of Knox Island. Lastly they finish up with the overall importance of Randle and RJ still being the backbone of the team, as well as what a hypothetical move for Zion Williamson looks like a couple years down the road. Their producer, Vin (@modelobeckham on Twitter and IG), finishes up with some questions for the boys and Frank turns on his favorite GM mode a couple times throughout the podcast.

Joe Yolk (@joeylandolfa) and TreDuse (@TheNYPostman on Twitter and @thenewyorkpostman on IG) are back after a brief technical difficulty-caused hiatus, starting with a deep dive into the Knicks’ free agent moves. They turned Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock into Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, who Joe has been clamoring for years to get to NY. The Knicks' front office has been playing chess and the boys are loving it.
Next up is the Julius Randle extension and how awesome of a role model and human being he is to represent the organization. He left approximately $88mill on the table next year by signing this year, and he is a better being than either of us that’s for sure.
Next they talk about the newest draft acquisitions in Quentin Grimes, Miles “Deuce” McBride, and Jericho Sims, as well as the draft-and-stash(?) pick of Rokas Jokubaitis. They go over the potential that McBride and Grimes specifically have for playing time this year and where they fall on the roster. Also how Joe will be closely watching undrafted FA Aamir Simms out of Clemson to see if he can make a two-way roster spot.
Lastly they go over the Summer League roster and how excited we are to watch Knicks’ basketball again. Frank is pretty delirious and Joe is slightly hungover while recording this so they were pretty silly throughout. Enjoy!

Big Knick Energy Episode 19 - Giannis!! Space Jam(es) and Where Does Derrick Rose Rank TODAY for PGs Joe Yolk (@joeylandolfa) and TreDuse (@TheNYPostman on Twitter and @thenewyorkpostman on IG) start off with the 2 biggest stories of the week…
The release of Space Jam: A New Legacy and Yolk’s trip to Miami over the weekend. After joking around a bit, they get into the nitty gritty of the Bucks 4-2 Finals championship over the Suns, Giannis’ greatness in today’s NBA and would they take Bobby Portis back on the Knicks. Joe also says why he hopes to never hear Devin Booker comparisons to Kobe again (at least not for a long time) and Frank tries to defend LeBron James and Magic Johnson both being better overall talents all time than Michael Jordan. They close with the first annual Derrick Rose Point Guard Power Rankings, where they rank every active PG up until they name where Rose falls on their lists, courtesy of Brutus Gorum aka @Btruetolife’s constant love and passion for the former MVP on Twitter.
We also are going to be at the draft next week in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center. Make sure to find us. We are also going to start answering and commenting on questions asked to us here on Youtube on the next podcast every week.

Big Knick Energy Episode 18 Finals Talk and Team USA Meltdown Joe Yolk and The NY Postman are back this week discussing the NBA Finals and Giannis being dominant. They touch on the importance of home-court advantage and compare Antetokounmpo to Shaq. Then they dive into comparing Trae Young’s first 3 years in the NBA to CP3’s and whether they would rather have an elite PG or an elite big man in today’s NBA. Next up is discussing Team USA’s demoralizing defeat to Nigeria and whether the title of “NBA Star” has lost the allure that used to come with it. They talk about the differences between this year’s team and their drive for success versus in year’s past. They finish up talking about our beloved New York Knicks being in rumors surrounding Collin Sexton and what they would be willing to give up to have him, as well as the Knicks needs in the draft and do a random deep dive on NBA prospect Tre Mann, sophomore point guard out of Florida.

The boys are back this week with new co-host Frank aka Treduse (@thenewyorkpostman on Instagram and @TheNYPostman on Twitter) and very special returning guest Danny B (@dan_ny_b).
They go over the Conference Finals, starting with the Suns taking the first 2 from the Clippers, the Deandre Ayton game winning alley-oop and what can the NBA do to speed up the end of games. They also dive into predictions for the Eastern Conference Finals right before game 1 started with the Hawks and Bucks. Based on the results of game 1, Joe Yolk (@joeylandolfa) is the only one not looking good with his prediction in that series, as both Frank and Danny took the Hawks.
Other topics we dove into were:
- Ayton’s comments about the 2018 draft class being the best of all time (lol wut?)
- The boys favorite 5 players left playing in the postseason (The Postman had by far the best of the 3 lists)
- What would each of them be willing to trade to get Dame Lillard, the number 1 pick for this year’s draft, and/or Ben Simmons
- They lastly touch on how much will the new rules affect players next year like Trae Young, James Harden, and our beloved Immanuel Quickley with shooters not being able to jump into defenders
